Collegiate Case Competition

Are you eager to apply concepts learned in college and showcase your real-world problem solving skills? Do you want to demonstrate your creativity and problem-solving skills beyond your campus? Then come and join the sbf111胜博发 Minnesota 2024 Collegiate Case Competition! 

This competition will test your aptitude for competitive analysis, creative problem-solving, marketing and business strategy, collaborative teamwork, and professional presentations. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your expertise before a panel of judges made up of students in the Carlson School of Management’s Master of Marketing program and local marketing professionals, competing with other students from top universities throughout the region. 

Students will develop strategic and tactical recommendations for a real-world marketing challenge and present their findings to their peers and judges on the campus of the Carlson School of Management. This will be a great opportunity to develop innovative and creative solutions by participating in a very challenging but fun learning experience. A $1,000 cash prize will be awarded to the first place team and $500 to the second place team!

Who should register?

  • Current undergraduate students in any major with an interest in marketing

When and Where is the event?

  • Date and Time: Friday, April 12, 2024, 9:00am – 5:30pm Central Time
  • Location: Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, 321 19th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55455

What should I expect?

  • Students will organize their own teams of 3-8 members each
  • At least two weeks prior to the competition, the case will be released to all teams
  • Student teams will analyze the case and synthesize recommendations along with their rationale
  • Each team will be allowed 30 minutes to present their recommendations to their peers
  • Presentations will be judged by a panel of students currently enrolled in the Carlson School of Management Master of Marketing program

  • Gain local business leader insights during an executive lunch and learn presentation
